Submission Guidelines

 

Hunt Press is currently open for submissions.

We accept

  • Science Fiction
  • Fantasy
  • Horror

We are especially interested in stories where the City and County of Los Angeles, California, play an integral part of the story, either as setting or character.

At this time, the only word count limit we have is that novels must come in over 70,000 words.

Previously published works will also be accepted.

We also accept on a limited and very picky basis the following non-fiction:

  • Spirituality, leaning towards the New Age, Pagan side of things; practical spell books are always of interest
  • Unschooling/Homeschooling
  • Unusual Cookbooks
  • Bizarre subjects that are off the wall

We do not accept

  • Erotica
  • Mainstream Fiction
  • Historicals
  • Westerns
  • War
  • Fan Fiction
  • Screenplays

Submitting your manuscript:

Hunt Press accepts both electronic and snail mail submissions.

For electronic submissions, please submit the complete manuscript as a Rich Text Format or PDF to submissions@huntpress.com.

For snail mail, please submit a copy of your complete manuscript, along with a cover letter, to:

Do not send your original. Please include a large SASE with sufficient postage if you want your manuscript returned.

Include the following in your cover letter:

  • Title of your book
  • Your real name
  • Your snail mail address
  • Your email address
  • Genre
  • Approximate word count
  • Synopsis
